Upon Receipt of Hair
Always inspect the hair before installation. If there are any issues with the hair you should notice at this time. Lastly, we highly recommend co-washing .
Use a good quality shampoo and conditioner , such as our Vanilla Lavender Conditioning Shampoo and/or our Basil Mint Fortifying Conditioner . Detangle the hair first from the ends to the roots before shampooing. Wash the hair gently in a downward motion (from the roots to the ends). Rubbing can cause the hair to tangle. When you are done, rinse your hair thoroughly. Make sure that your hair is clean before you use a hair conditioner. Condition the hair after every wash. Dry the hair gently, don’t rub it with a towel but move in a downward motion from roots to ends.
Use styling products minimally to avoid build up. For Wavy & Curly hair ,use a spray bottle of water for natural look. For a “WET” look, we suggest a leave in conditioner such as our Coconut Lime Verbena Leave in Conditioner or/and our Lemongrass Kiwi Curl Defining Creme . Comb through (wide tooth comb) beginning at the ends and working your way up to your scalp. Let hair air-dry. Style as desired.
Hair Styling Products
Use a good (leave-in) conditioner to keep your hair soft, our Coconut Lime Verbena Leave in Conditioner is a great chioce. Don’t over do it. To much conditioner or any other hair care product can cause a build up and tangling. Avoid hair products that contain alcohol. Alcohol makes hair dry.
When you would like to perm or color your hair, don’t do it yourself, unless you have the necessary professional background and knowledge to do so. Consult your hair stylist.
Avoid long exposure to chlorine and salt water, it causes the hair to tangle and mat up. It is recommended to wear a swim cap if possible or wear your hair up to keep it out of the water. After swimming it is best to shampoo and condition your hair immediately. In general it is a good habit to wear your hair up or in a ponytail when you exercise.
DO NOT sleep on wet hair. Make sure that your hair is completely dry when you go to sleep. A good habit is to tie your hair together in a ponytail to prevent tangling as much as possible.
How To Apply
Curl your natural lashes and apply mascara if necessary.
Carefully remove the lashes from the tray by removing the inner corner of the band, then pulling the rest of the lash off by the band. Never pull on the lashes themselves. (You’ll destroy it)
Hold the lash up to your eye to measure. If the lash is longer than your natural eye shape, trim the lash to fit. Always cut from the inner corner of the lash.
Place a thin layer of our Mink Lash Adhesive or any non permanent glue you own on the band of the lash, allow it to properly dry for about 30 seconds-45 seconds, then apply the lash by placing the band on top of your natural lash line.
Repeat the above steps for the other eye and you are ready to go.
Gently remove the lashes by lifting the band of the lash off of the skin at the inner corner of the eye and pull the band gently.
Repeat for the other eye.
Store your lashes in the Lautress Mink Lashes box that the lashes came in.
Store your lashes in the Lautress Mink Lashes box they came in to keep them clean, dry and protected from getting damaged.
If your lashes have buildup on them, DO NOT GET THEM WET, this will ruin them. Carefully use tweezers to remove the buildup/ leftover glue on the band.
When properly cared for your Lautress Lashes are reusable around 10-30 times, depending on the kind of lashes you purchased.
LAUTRESS TIP: To to increase the longevity and maintain the original style of your Lautress Mink Lashes even further, do not apply mascara directly on them. Instead, apply mascara to your natural lashes first, allow it to dry, then apply your Lautress Lashes.
